1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to every customer, workspace member, and integration that uses TidyChat (the "Service"). It supplements our Terms of Service. You are responsible for ensuring that everyone acting under your workspace complies with this AUP.
2. Messaging Consent and Opt-in
You may only message people who have given you a lawful basis to contact them. You must:
- Obtain and keep records of opt-in consent before sending automated or bulk messages.
- Honour opt-out and STOP requests promptly and permanently.
- Comply with the messaging-platform policies of every channel you connect, including the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and applicable SMS regulations.
3. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You must not use the Service to send, store, or promote content that:
- Is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that incites violence.
- Constitutes spam or unsolicited bulk messaging.
- Infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights.
- Contains malware, phishing, or fraudulent or deceptive material.
- Promotes regulated goods or services in breach of applicable law (e.g. [PLACEHOLDER: regulated categories per jurisdiction]).
4. Prohibited Technical Activity
You must not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure, or circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security controls.
5. Platform Compliance
Because the Service transmits messages over third-party platforms (WhatsApp/Meta, SMS carriers, and others), any breach of those platforms' policies is also a breach of this AUP. We may act on notices we receive from those platforms.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or throttle sending where we reasonably believe this AUP has been breached. Where practical we will give notice, but we may act immediately to protect the Service, other customers, or third parties.
7. Reporting Abuse
Report suspected abuse to [PLACEHOLDER: abuse contact email — e.g. [email protected]].
8. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be published with a new effective date.
