Accessibility Statement

1. Our Commitment

TidyChat is committed to making its website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as an ongoing obligation rather than a one-time project.

2. Conformance Target

This website aims to conform to:

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C.
  • IS 5568 — the Israeli web accessibility standard, as required by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments to a Service) Regulations, 5773-2013.
  • The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), as transposed into Romanian law.

We describe our conformance status as partially conformant: most of the site meets WCAG 2.1 AA, and the known gaps are listed in section 5.

3. Measures Taken

  • Semantic HTML with landmark regions, a skip-to-content link, and a logical heading order.
  • Full keyboard operability with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
  • Colour contrast meeting the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum for text and interface components.
  • All animation and motion is suppressed when the browser or operating system requests reduced motion.
  • Right-to-left support for Hebrew, including mirrored layout and controls.
  • Automated accessibility testing (axe-core) runs on every change to this site; a build is rejected when a critical or serious violation is detected.

4. Accessibility Tools on This Site

Every page carries an accessibility toolbar, reachable from the persistent button in the lower corner of the screen (marked with the universal access symbol). It can also be opened from the keyboard by tabbing to that button and pressing Enter.

The toolbar offers:

  • Larger text — increases the site's text size in two steps.
  • High contrast — raises the contrast of text against its background.
  • Greyscale — removes colour.
  • Highlight links — underlines and outlines every link.
  • Reduce motion — stops animation, movement, and automatic transitions.
  • Readable font — switches to a font tuned for legibility.
  • Reset — restores every setting to its default.

Your selections are remembered in your browser's local storage on this device only. They are display preferences: they contain no identifiers, are never sent to our servers, and are not used for analytics.

5. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, the following are known gaps. We are working to resolve them.

8. Preparation of This Statement

This statement was prepared on 8 July 2026 and last reviewed on 8 July 2026. It is based on a self-assessment of the website:

  • Continuous automated conformance testing with axe-core against the WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA rulesets. The tests run on every code change, in a real browser, against representative pages (home, pricing, a legal document, and this statement) in both left-to-right and right-to-left layouts, and a change that introduces a critical or serious violation cannot be deployed.
  • The accessibility toolbar is itself covered by automated functional tests: keyboard operability, focus management, and persistence of preferences.
  • Manual keyboard-navigation checks.
